About Us
TEXAS REPUBLICANS’ CLUB
Founded 2007
The TEXAS REPUBLICANS’ CLUB (TRC) originated a few years ago in, of all the unlikely places, a barn in Ellis County, Texas. One of the original founders built a barn on his ranch and inside was placed a fully stocked and maintained bar “for medicinal purposes only of course”. The founders of this organization would gather there to express their concerns, indulge unto their rights put forth by the 2nd amendment, discuss their views, precipitate each other’s opinions, and all in all “solve the world’s problems” as they say.
The group began as a discussion group comprised of individuals whose combined experience in the law, political issues, business, domestic and international affairs was in excess of … “let’s just say it ain’t our first trip up this dusty road”.
As time passed, we gained an appreciation of the specific talents, knowledge and abilities which we each possessed, and with our combined efforts found, somewhat to our dismay, we could positively affect the course of political campaigns and issues in our communities, our state, and on occasion even at higher levels. Having combined our common and uncommon interest into a productive endeavor, we decided after much capitulation, to attempt to broaden our horizons and “throw our hat in the bull pen” so to speak, in an effort to change the rapidly deteriorating concept commonly referred to as the American political scene.
With such, our mutual assessment was that in order to make the greatest impact, we should, as was intended by the founding fathers of our nation, involve the public at every degree and level. Thus, the formation of the TRC was an inevitable step toward the positive growth of our discussion group, and its adaptation to a more public forum. Our intent to remain within the guidelines of the Constitution
mandated that we not affiliate ourselves in any way, form or fashion, neither as subsidiary nor auxiliary, with the Republican National Committee, the Texas Republican Party, nor our local GOP organization: but to expand unto a new, “but old”, realm guided by the bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution of these United States, as well as reverencing the document known as the Constitution of the Republic of Texas. Our intent is not to place allegiance to one over the other, but to pledge allegiance to both of our Republics, which we support and are sworn to defend.
A “Republican” by definition is an individual who is willing to uphold and defend a Republic and the Constitution which created it, to the extent, as our founding fathers proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence where they so gracefully articulated, at the cost of their minds, their assets, and even their lives, against all enemies both foreign and domestic. Patrick Henry stated, “… Give me liberty or give me death!” The British obliged him with a hanging; however, the unintended outcome was that he might live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who love life, liberty, property, and all the unalienable rights set forth by the works and writings of our founding fathers.
We are “Republicans”. We are not, however bound by some imaginary party line, by some arbitrary definition of Democrat vs. Republican, Constitutional party vs. Independent; neither are we bound by ethnicity, social status, religion, creed, age nor conviction. We are however, bound by our unwavering conservative beliefs in the Creator, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution of these United States, the attached Bill of Rights, and an inextinguishable belief that liberty can and must prevail for the way of life of which we love to live on in posterity for generations to come.
To join with us is simple. There are no dues, no tolls, no ingratiatory initiations or rites, there is but a common belief that endowed upon us by our Creator, and granted unto us by the Constitution and Bill of Rights of these United States, are certain unalienable rights which no man, no entity, public or private, no government nor ambiguous domicile may separate from us. These include, but are not restricted to the rights to privacy within our own lives, the right to life for all conceived, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter the avenue through which that pursuit may traverse. Inasmuch as the rights of one person end where the rights of another begin, it is unconscionable that morality or way of life may be dictated for the many by the few, unacceptable that governance increasingly being legislated from the bench, and the involvement of an encroaching government has all but stripped the legal American citizen of their inherent rights, and at a
despicable level, granted those rights to persons who arrive on our sovereign soil by other than legal means, while we who were graced by God to have been born here are taxed to the point of breakage without recourse. Never shall we charge moneys for the opportunity of able minded individuals to participate with us in our endeavors. We ask but that you join with us as we stand to for our liberties, as we draw the line in the sand, as we wave the flag of Goliad defiantly.
Our purpose is to deprive those individuals who would serve themselves or special interests from the positions and offices which they have oft’ attained by other than noble means, and to replace them with statesmen who are intent upon serving their fellow man for a limited time, and then returning to life as a contributing member of society. We must see through the idea that the time has come for re-affirming the age old concept of representation, we are in fact a representative republic, not a democracy as the parasitic community of professional politicians would so wish for us to believe.
Our pledge is to the flag of these United States of America and to the flag of the Great State of Texas; our oath is unto our Creator and our fellow man; our mission is the posterity of liberty; our view is of one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Please join us in this noble and worthy cause, as without the input, guidance and help of all the citizenry, our fight shall be in vain and our great Republic may well vanquish into the annals of history as but another failed social experiment.
May God help us in the challenges we face together, and give us the guidance to fulfill and restore the cause of liberty unto the people of these United States of America.
