Ms. Cowan,

First, I'd like to thank you for visiting our site and for your comment.

I believe what Andrew Wallace (the author) was referring to is the compilation of legislative acts and SCOTUS rulings, many of which date back as far as 1938 and the FDR administration. We can trace the deterioration process further; however, dwelling upon past mistakes is a mere exercise in futility unless we learn from what has been witnessed and exercise the actions necessary to save our arguably failing Republic. I believe that in the future many of the legislative acts currently being passed will be shown to be in violation of the Founders intentions. Whether our Legislative Branch, a future administration, or SCOTUS takes the appropriate actions will of course not be known until such presents come to fruition. Many of these bills and resolutions were actually penned during previous administrations, but only now are being passed and shoved down the already weary throats of the American Public. Much as the first "Stimulus package" passed under the prior administration was partisan from one direction, then when the same occurs under a new administration, the ball is simply served from the other side of the court, but the partisan bickering continues.

Under President Bush's administration, a number of rulings/legislative acts laid the groundwork for the current administrations success in enacting what we now recognize as detrimental, even treacherous, laws. These included such policies as the NAU (North American Union) signed, here in Texas in 2005, into policy by then Presidents Bush, Fox, and Martin (US, MEX and CAN respectively) and served as the precursor for the CIFTA of the Americas~ recently signed by the nations of the Western Hemisphere; the MCA (Military Commissions Act) which provided for the loss of Habeas Corpus under a very broad spectrum of events such as a medical national emergency~ which it appears we may now be under as the WHO has placed the global alert at Pandemic level 6 respective to the swine flu; the FISA Amendments act which removed the right to privacy for all citizens of these United States ... The list is extensive.

No singular administration should be "blamed" for our current State of the Union. I find it much more productive to analyze from a conservative's viewpoint, while trying to remain objective~ thus, hopefully extracting the truth of the situation, not mere partisan conjecture whereby we finger point to no avail.

I do not know your political affiliation, nor does that matter, as the TRC is an organization which respects all political viewpoints, and is founded upon the belief that the Constitution and Bill of Rights is sufficient guidance for all who support our Republic.

Having known the author, Mr. Andrew Wallace, for some time, his "opinions" are always based upon fact, not conjecture. Andrew is extremely devoted to tireless research and to representing what he feels to be the truth (not just some "guess" as so many writers provide without substantive information or documentation to back up their opinions) ... Were it to be that our elected officials would be so inclined, I feel we would likely not be facing the grim reality of socialization of medicine, our financial system, our manufacturing, indeed our nation as a whole.

Again, thank you for your interest and your comments. I hope that you will find our site to be a source of viable information in the future, and that we may benefit you in some small way politically.

At your service and with warm regards.

May God Bless the Sheepdogs,

David
